Story behind
During my twenty-one years in Spain, I often thought of my mother. Because life was not easy at the beginning and making long-distance phone calls was expensive, I expressed my feelings of missing home mostly through painting or writing diaries. 

It is said that “we would never be able to fully appreciate the greatness of a mother until we have become one”. It is so true. I am a mother of two, and sometimes I can see myself living in my mum´s shoes. I can see more clearly now the burden she carried, the sacrifices she offered and the wisdom she had. As I get older, I have learned to be a better daughter too in a sense that I stop criticizing her ideas and see her in new eyes. 

This painting carries my admiration to all mothers on earth.  With a word of advice and a tap on her child´s nose, a mother magically covers the whole world with faith, hope and love.
