Because life was not easy at the beginning and making long-distance phone calls was expensive, I expressed my feelings of missing home mostly through painting or writing diaries. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is said that “we would never be able to fully appreciate the greatness of a mother until we have become one”. It is so true. I am a mother of two, and sometimes I can see myself living in my mum´s shoes. I can see more clearly now the burden she carried, the sacrifices she offered and the wisdom she had.
